- Summary:
- Extensive system modeling has been completed for development of the next generation full scale electric brake. All current models have focused on analysis and simulation using a prototype electromechanical actuator. An efficiency model has been developed which isolates coulomb and viscous losses using regression analysis of test data. A control system model has been developed which provides a dynamic simulation of the brake. Real time antiskid simulation with the prototype hardware has been completed, to evaluate landing gear compatibility. Each of these analysis areas focuses on reducing risk for development of the next generation electric brake
