The often used centralized ECU for body functions will not be able to manage future needs.The electronic control boxes as separate units disappear almost completely. Control panels, positioning motors and sensors will be equipped with small onboard electronics including a standardized serial data link, for example CAN.The availability of these smart components is the key prerequisite to introduce powerful and cost effective multiplex systems in the area of body electronics
