- Summary:
- The objective of this paper is to define the selection criteria for the piezoresistive semiconductor family of sensors and to provide guidance in the application of such sensors to selected measurement environments. Each of the various sensing technologies existing at present have strengths and weaknesses. The highest level of data integrity is achieved by exploiting each sensor type for it's respective strengths and in the application of various physical and computational techniques to minimize the error contributed by that sensor's respective deficiencies
