- The mobility, working performance and therefore the total economy of wheel excavators can be greatly improved by increasing the maximum traveling speed of the vehicle. For wheel excavators with service weights up to 22 metric tons, a considerable effort is being invested into increasing the top travel speed from 20 km/h to approximately 35 km/h.
