Summary:
Those people who are familiar with the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) technique usually know it as a method to more effectively organize a product development program by having all program activities respond to the need to satisfy the customer's wants. QFD can have much broader uses, however, such as the development of a product test plan as described here. The study starts at the same point as the product QFD, with the collection of the customer wants, but the end result is the product test plan which will be used to ensure that the customer needs have been met
