- Summary:
- AbstractIt is shown that an electric vehicle (EV) will have an excellent performance by making extensive use of new technologies and new design concepts/by the computer simulation. In case of a 4 person passenger car, a 390krn range in city drive/180km/h maximum velocity and 21sec from 0 to 400m acceleration time will be achieved/by using a sodium-sulfur (NaS) battery whose energy density is 120Wh/kg and weight is 265kg. An electric motor cycle is developed by adopting the new technologies. A brushless DC motor which uses a rareearth cobalt magnet was set inside the rear wheel to utilize the direct drive system. The maximum speed is 55km/h and the range is 56km in 30km/h constant speed driving
