Summary:
Over-the-road measurements of suspension dynamics in a vehicle with different isolation configurations for noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) have been conducted using four synchronous video signals. Two and three dimensional trajectories have been recovered for various sites on a suspension system, using several well-defined handling maneuvers to excite the system. The data have been analyzed to provide explicit descriptions of dynamic toe, dynamic camber, bushing deflections, and other parameters of interest to system designers. The benefits and limitations of video-based measurements are discussed and typical results are provided
