Summary:
In this paper a method for the calculation of combined pneumo-hydraulic motion control systems is presented. The applicability of the method is discussed on the basis of the dynamic characteristic analysis of different brake control systems for trailers. The mathematical model developed includes both braking and unbraking states. Computer results show good compatibility with the experimental data. Major outcome of the solution is the fact that the pneumatical part is governing the time for trailer braking operation. The proposed method can effectively be used in order to minimize trailer braking operation times and to optimize vehicle-trailer braking process synchronization. It can also be applied on antislip device development
