The reaction injection molding (RIM) of structural composites is a cost effective process. Raw material cost, glass and resin, may constitute 80-85% of the total part cost when the RIM process is used. Therefore, the optimum levels of glass and resin is important in relation to performance requirements and part weight objectives.
