Summary:
The introduction of electronic injection regulating and control systems on passenger car diesel engines brings about a new status in their development. This leads to the improvement of all important engine functions such as fuel consumption, torque output, exhaust and noise emissions and engine running smoothness. As a result of the manifold possibilities of electronic engine control, considerable progress has been made in the applicability under different running conditions - at cold start, when warming up, during acceleration, when fully loaded, idling and motoring. The system also offers new possibilities for diagnosis and maintenance by means of electronic diagnosis testers
