The Canadian government has announced a new regulation, effective December 1, 1989, for Daytime Running Lights to be installed in all vehicles manufactured for use in Canada. There are several ways to design a system to meet the intensity requirements of the regulation, either as separate lights or combined with the existing lighting system.
