- Summary:
- Robotic dispensing applications are becoming less complicated due to advances in robot control technology. High level languages provide the end user with application oriented systems. Therefore, users no longer need to be specialists in robotics, dispensing equipment, controls, and software to successfully implement an adhesive or sealant system. This paper will describe the various steps required to integrate and maintain a system using menu driven application software. Results include improved quality, as well as, reducing integration, installation, and production problems commonly associated with robotic dispensing systems.Standard routines simplify initial system setup, including test procedures to verify initial setup and calibrate the dispensing equipment to the robot, robot path teaching, and run production with run-time editing capabilities. Fault diagnostics and fault prevention is built in to each of the routines to help in troubleshooting and eliminate costly downtime.4.
