Summary:
The importance of process control on stamping lines is beginning to be understood. A method of controlling the stamping process is proposed. The method uses existing SPC, formability analysis, and problem solving techniques to construct a system for controlling the process and solving problems. The approach is layered to solve easy problems quickly but still provide the depth to handle more difficult problems. With the use of process output variables to monitor the process, it is possible to prevent problem and do effective process improvement
