Summary:
The Spacehab Module is a pressurized volume launched by the Space Shuttle and providing an additional experiment volume in orbit. It will be available in 1990 and doubles the pressurized volume of the middeck locker volume of the Orbiter. Both passive and active thermal control systems are now being designed. The Aeritalia concept, analysis results and conclusions for only the passive thermal control system are discussed in this paper. The paper was written before the Phase B studies concluded an active thermal system using both air cooling and a water loop would be used in the SPACEHAB Module
