Summary:

A panel method based scheme has been developed to calculate the installed 1-P moments on commuter or executive aircraft. Work in this area is reviewed and the proposed mathematical model is described. Three aspects of this model, namely the isolated propeller analysis, the wing/fuselage analysis and the propeller/wing/fuselage interactive analysis are each evaluated separately against measured data. In particular, the 1-P moment results are compared with wind-tunnel data and flight test measurements
