- Summary:
- A simple, rational method for the dynamic analysis of vehicle-utility pole impacts has been presented. The results obtained from this analysis are summarized and compared to the data obtained in two full-scale baseline crash tests. Also presented are estimates of injury levels and probabilities of injury for the occupants of the errant vehicles. These injury probability predictions are based on published statistical evaluations of accident data. Finally, the analytical results are presented in terms of post impact vehicle deformation
