I. AbstractComputer-Aiding offers the engineer a tool to become more effective creatively and more creative effectively. This creativity enhancement potential of Computer-Aiding in an engineering environment is explored from the total company perspective. Case studies will be used to demonstrate where other companies are or could be with their computer-aiding efforts. Emphasis is placed on how the various facets of computer-aiding including O/A, CAD, CAP, CAE, CAM and CIM - when properly integrated into your company can significantly influence its profit picture! You get the former with careful planning and selection of the right equipment for your needs, the latter comes naturally without much thought. The focus here is on planning, selection and integration. Concluding with a unique justification approach you can use today at your company!
