Summary:
A smart-power, high-current source driver IC has been designed with applications targeted towards the automotive industry. It interfaces between low-voltage logic signals (microprocessors) and high-voltage/high-current peripherals and includes transient suppression diodes for inductive load applications. The IC features protection circuitry which maintains system integrity over a wide range of fault situations and temperature ranges. The device also increases system reliability and reduces cost by replacing logic chips and discrete devices with one IC providing enhanced functionality
