Summary:
Under the test conditions of the power measuring methods of ISO4106. SAEJ1349, etc, if the engine cooling equipment is insufficient in capacity, the engine cannot be kept at stabilized, normal operating conditions, which make power measurement difficult. However, by using this new power measuring method based on the engine temperature standard, power can be measured statistical accuracy regardless of the engine cooling equipment capacity. The Motorcycle Group of the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA) conducted feasibility studies on the applicability of the new power measuring method to existing standards and requlations and, as a result, concluded it is satisfactory for use
