Summary:
Simulation is an effective tool for use in design, performance evaluation, and testing of antilock brake systems. Simulation provides an efficient and cost effective method of optimizing system design by providing a technique for independently varying vehicle, environmental, and control system parameters, while observing detailed system and vehicle performance. Model execution in real time allows the additional capability of "mixed simulation" testing in which critical system hardware elements are operated closed loop in a laboratory environment by integrating them with complex simulation models. This combination of pure and mixed simulation techniques provides a significant extension of traditional test methods
