Summary:
After having increased the safety of braking by means of production line installed Antilock Brake Systems (ABS), the next problem to be solved was to optimize the acceleration procedure. In this context, standard ABS-components should be used extensively to improve the forward traction especially on split-friction surfaces and to increase the safety during acceleration in general. This paper shows the possibilities to fulfil the demands made on an intelligent Traction Control System (TCS) with the aid of an already existing, fully integrated ADS, which has a modular built-up in hydraulics and electronic hard- and software
