Since 1978 the U. S. Army has been using computerized portable diagnostic test equipment to support the maintenance of its military vehicle fleet. During this time, the addition of new and improved vehicles at a rapid rate has also impacted heavily on the test program memory storage/revision level in the same test equipment.
