This system integrates specially developed abrasive water jet cutting equipment with a six-axis gantry robot to perform complex contour trimming of panel edges and integral stiffener blades. An IBM industrial PC/AT acts as a cell controller, handling communication between the other equipment controllers and the mainframe computer where offline programming is performed
