- Summary:
- In the past Electrochemical Metallizing, also referred to as Brush Plating, has been used primarily as a touch up tool. The process has been known for years as a mechanism for correcting mismachined or worn metal components and for providing wear and corrosion resistant coatings on limited areas. Due to the relative portability of the process, it has been used both in manufacturing facilities and at on-site locations. Many specifications for use of this process have been generated by prime manufacturers and military departments. In recent years, the Aircraft Industry has stated that one of the key problems with this process is the high level of operator dependency required to achieve a good bond and sound metallurgical deposit. We have taken the advice of the Aircraft Industry and have spent a considerable amount of time and money in developing process control techniques that will ensure that Electrochemical Metallizing is both accurate and of the quality standards required by your industry. The subject of this report will be to discuss the field of Automation, New Process Controls, New Auxiliary Equipment and, finally, New Solutions for use by your industry
