Summary:
Vehicle-cybernetic covers the area of information and controlsystems in the vehicle. The importance of this area for vehicleengineering is increasing because of two reasons:- With microelectronics, a technology has become available for adevelopment which offers completely new possibilities for therealisation of complex cybernetic systems in the vehicle.- The interdisciplinary area of the control and data-processinginteraction between driver, vehicle and environment is the onewhich has the highest potential of improvements in primary safety, economy and consistence with the environment, because each of thesingle systems have been largely optimized in the course of itslong time of development. In the contribution the projects from the area ofvehicle-cybernetics are presented in a systematical analysis. Theyinclude among other things: driver information system, operationalcomponents, collision avoidance radar, active steering, activesuspension, lateral and longitudinal control, orientation systems, guidance systems, automation and the vehicle simulator
