- Summary:
- So far, permissible stress in the form of W\arhler's curveshave been determined on very simple samples and under single load,e.g. at bilateral bending, torsion, tension et cetera Hence, theiruselessness is rather obvious when thin-walled structuresconsisting of rods subject to a complex state of loads. This paper presents the results of studies into the durabilityof thin-walled elements of frames for different values of thequotient of torsional loads-to-loads bending the frame. Studieswere performed on a special stand which allowed to widely changeboth torsional and bending loads and their relation - such in thesame way as it happens when vehicle travels along the road. Theresults are given in the W\arhler's diagrams form and inanalytical way as well. It has been demonstrated that permissiblefatigue stresses for the tested elements of frame differconsiderably from those published in Standards and Regulations
