During recent years, sales of elevating scrapers have increased at a much faster rate than conventional scrapers. This is a result of the versatility of elevating scrapers as well as reduction in job size and nature in the U.S. (e.g., road rebuilding rather than new construction). The elevating scraper's work-alone capability becomes a decisive economic factor in most soil conditions, especially when only one scraper is required for each project.The 615 Elevating Scraper (Fig. 1) is an addition to the Caterpillar elevating scraper family.
