- Summary:
- An analytical method of dynamic analysis of a vehicle is presented by utilizing a test data based computer model. The complex and complete vehicle structure is divided into its major subcomponents whose modal elastic flexural and inertia properties are obtained experimentally in the laboratory. Component modal synthesis technique is used to present the complete modal description of the total vehicle. Then this modal component model is correlated and compared to real vehicle dynamic data to prove the validity of computer simulation. The model is used to improve dynamic response and ride and shake related problems of the vehicle by elastomer isolation optimization
