Summary:
Since the first robot: was introduced into our factory in 1971, about 1250 playback robots have been operated. But processes in which these robots were installed were limited to particular ones such as spot welding, are welding and painting. In many other processes robots have not been installed.Investing the reasons there is a main factor as follows,But by the flexible software with parameters of calculation constants applied for various structure type, the robot arm is supposed to be flexible in structure, the controller can be standardized. Therefore a Multi-Purpose Robot Controller has been developed. By this controller, considering economical merit, popular robots within 4 axes are controlled.In this paper, the structure of the system, the outline of automatized system, the total evaluation of robots applied to several typical processes, and realized system, are described. At the end of this paper, it is mentioned that out thought against the future factory automatization utilizing this controller unit.In the future, this controller will work with various machines and will release workers from heavy and monotonous works
