The demanding requirement of today's mobile equipment can be met by using load sensing hydraulic systems. They offer advantages of energy conservation as well as ease of obtaining proportional control.This paper presents the basic load sensing techniques, together with typical system configurations/characteristics. Their application to mobile aerial work platforms is discussed with emphasis on system stability and accuracy
