- Summary:
- The Ford Aluminum Beaker Oxidation Test was developed as an inexpensive and convenient test procedure for evaluating the thermooxidative stability of ATFs. This paper presents the results of a systematic study of ATF oxidation in this test and in vehicle service. The results show that ATF service life in vehicles could be predicted by extrapolating laboratory oxidation test data using temperature co-efficients for oxidative processes
