- A vehicle has been built to incorporate a number of fuel economy improvement components with an Electronically Programmed Engine Control (EPEC) system. The vehicle system was optimized for fuel economy within driveability and emission constraints and provided a 12.5 percent improvement in fuel economy on the combined FTP tests.
