- The Synthetic Vision System (SVS) is planned to be applied to provide cockpit forward view in the next generation Supersonic Transport (SST).Operational requirements for the SST landing system were examined and the necessity of the SVS was verified.Next, the SVS concept was evaluated by operational users. Following that, the method to improve the pilot's situation awareness, the requirements, and the device types for the SST cockpit display system were studied.Based on the results of these studies, proposed cockpit display arrangements with the contents were implemented.At last, issues to develop the system are identified
