Summary:
The SEEK EAGLE F-15E Mixed Loads Certification test program was created and funded in response to the United States Air Force (USAF) Air Combat Command's (ACC) request to certify new air-to-ground (A/G) configurations and weapon release sequences on the F-15E. The primary concerns which required flight testing were store separations from the wing pylon and conformal fuel tank (CFT) stations as well as the structural compatibility of new weapon configurations. Safe separation testing consisted of 35 missions that included weapon releases and captive carriage of most of the conventional stores in the USAF inventory. A total of three captive compatibility flight profiles (CFPs) were flown with GBU-10/12 Paveway II laser guided bombs (LGBs) and the M-129 leaflet dispenser. Mixed Loads test results are currently being reported on by the SEEK EAGLE Program Office and the 40th Flight Test Squadron at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. Final store certification recommendations will be made by SEEK EAGLE before September 1997
