This paper presents the results of R&D work for design and manufacturing of lightweight (mass reduction up to 50 %) valve for internal combustion engine using the Ti-alloys. The valve design is compound: valve stem is made of exact rolled high strength Titanium alloy and valve head is made of γ/α2 Titanium Aluminides.
