Summary:

Nowadays the widespread use of Diesel engines in trucks and buses in our cities makes desirable any improvement in the engine reserves concerning emission and performance. We developed a Light Load Timing Advance (LLTA) on plungers of engine's pump OM366LA - Mercedes Benz that greatly increases the engine reserves by an optimization of the injection pump's hydraulic. The improvement were: better fuel consumption, lower white smoke and reduction of smoke in free acceleration tests
