- Summary:
- ABSTRACT:This paper discusses the control of the three types of noise associated with hydrostatic transmissions - airborne, structurebone, and fluidborne. Basic control techniques for all three sources of noise are discussed. Specific guidance for controlling fluidborne noise is provided by discussing the selection of pumps and motors based on flow ripple and impedance, the selection of operational parameters, and the use of fluidborne noise attenuators
