Summary:
A new fuel gauge has been developed using an electrical resistance element made from a partially conductive thermoplastic material. This new thermoplastic material offers excellent resistance to most chemicals and fuels now used in the transportation industry and can easily be made into resistance elements in a variety of shapes and sizes. In this gauge, it is used to make a potentiometer type fuel level sensor with a high level voltage output to interface with a microcomputer
