In order to determine the actual loading and validate the FE model, extensive physical testing which involved data acquisition and analysis was undertaken. The paper shows the application of FE analysis and testing with examples for optimization of an automotive wheel, drive line vibration, car body shell interior acoustics and a railway vehicle structure
