Abstract:This paper describes a method to design an improved structure for frontal crash. A finite element model has been developed using nonlinear finite element crash code V-CRUSH. Numerical results were experimentally verified using static and dynamic tests. The main objective of the study was to design the structure to dissipate more energy and to reduce intrusion.
