Summary:
The injected metal process provides automotive suppliers with opportunities for improved product quality, enhanced production efficiencies and reduced costs in the assembly of small components manufactured from a diverse range of materials. This technology uses molten zinc alloy to form a permanent, mechanical joint which assembles components with a high degree of precision. It can usually eliminate several components from the assembly by forming them as an integral part of the injected metal joint, producing a superior product while reducing manufacturing and material costs. Component preparation is reduced and secondary operations are eliminated. Assemblies are ready for use in the next production step.Custom designed semi-automatic or fully automatic injected metal systems can be integrated into a production line. Automatic feeders, articulators and conveyors are designed to meet specific production needs
