Summary:
Soft feeling coatings that give plastic a leather-like feel are widely used in the automotive industry today. In recent years, the two-component solventbased polyurethane has been the soft coating of choice. But because of application problems such as gloss control and high volatile organic emissions, finishers are looking for an alternative. This paper examines the application potential of a two-component waterborne soft feeling coating. It covers areas such as pot life, 2K equipment, gloss control, cure, viscosity, recirculation, and recoatability. This paper concludes that the two-component waterborne soft feeling coating provides many application benefits
