Summary:
Developed by DYNAMIC SOFTWARE, OPTRIS is a software package dedicated to the modelization of sheet metal forming in an industrial environment.Forming is not a single process and may be split into different stages: the gravity stage that leads to the correct initial shape of the sheet metal, the blankholder closing stage, the forming stage and the springback stage. Moreover, stamping is often a multi-step process and numerous specific technics are used, such as drawbeads, cutting during the process, Finally, aluminium is an investigation field for the industry. In order to simulate the complete process in a realistic time for the industry and with the greatest easiness, some specific tools and algorithms have been developed in OPTRIS - the solver, based on the explicit finite element method combined with an automatic mesh refinement - and its pre- and post-processor FICTURE
