- Summary:
- In practical dynamic measurements engineers deal with vibration conditions arising from a complex superimposition of wave amplitudes and frequencies.Typical rubber materials, used in mechanical parts which have undergone dynamic strains like antivibration components, are studied under dual sine signals conditions to approximate, on a laboratory scale, the service vibrating mode. The aim of this work is to find an adequate laboratory testing method that enables both technologists and designers to determine the response of rubber which has undergone dual sine signals, regardless of shape and size factors. Moreover, the effects of superimposition of two sine waves on typical rubber compounds for antivibration parts arecompared to the effects with a single wave signal. An explanation of the general behaviour of rubber compounds tested under dual sine signals is also provided and compared to other similar dynamic analysis works listed in the references
