I- Abstract:In our permanent and continuous work to fulfill customer's expectations and get their enthusiasm, GM do Brasil has put strenous efforts to improve the vehicles corrosion protection.The goal is to protect the customer's investment as long as possible.This report presents the development done in the last decade to improve the durability, by designing new body shapes and rationalizing the surface protection methods, which are presently being applied in our plants.The final result of the improvements carried out in these last ten years was the ability to withstand longer exposure periods ( up to 6 years ) without corrosion signs.
