Summary:
As testing of J1850 networks occur, there is a need for an onboard device to record bus transactions during demanding on and off road trials. A "Flight Recorder" could capture all events or filter out the relevant message traffic and time stamped to significant events as they occur. The "Flight Recorder" may produce data of important value to other elements within a corporation justifying part of its expense
