ABSTRACT:To meet the demands of the future with the competitive environment that Fleet Managers are faced with, a more comprehensive and global strategy for the Utility Fleet Industry will be needed. Not only will Fleet Managers have to standardize the vehicles they have in their own individual fleets to gain an upper hand on soaring costs but they will also need to pool their ideas and develop vehicle chassis and equipment standards that can be used on a global basis. Only then will each Fleet Manager be able to reap the benefits of lower vehicle costs possible from industry wide standardization
