- Summary:
- The automotive OEM parts supply business continues to be a competitive environment. Expectations are reaching new levels as down-scaled customer OEMs find it profitable to consolidate their purchases with suppliers who can support their need for "concept-to-customer" design and engineering support. The supplier is expected to provide a functional, cost-effective part acceptable to consumers within the design and budget parameters set by the manufacturer. For this reason a consumer research project was commissioned for auto air conditioning outlets. This paper describes the process and results of this study
