Summary:
Subjective assessment is used to aid the refinement processes of bencmarking, target setting and pass off testing. This study investigates standardising the means of subjectively assessing vehicle NVH and developing a method for processing the results to give specific information on subjective responses. Experienced assessors were used to appraise 6 vehicles for the factors of the noise and the noise and vibration relating to a specific features of the vehicle.This investigation aims to demonstrate the consistent trends of subjective appraisal and correlates subjective and objective boom levels
