Despite the wide use of the capillary pumped loop (CPL) and loop heat pipe (LHP) technologies, fundamental confusion persists about CPL and LHP operation, their uses and limitations, and even the similarities and distinctions between the western-heritage CPLs and Russian-heritage LHPs.
